Louisville Animal Ordinance

LOUISVILLE, KY, January 4, 2007 -- Passed by the Louisville Metro Council on December 19, 2006, the highly debated Louisville Animal Ordinance was signed into law by Mayor Jerry Abramson on 1/4/07. Critics, which include the Louisville Kennel Club, say the ordinance goes too far in its restrictions. Others applaud it saying it will now be easier for law enforcement to crack down on dangerous dogs.

Whichever side of the fence you are on, one thing can be said... that with the many versions that have been created, discussed, and argued, there is much confusion as to what exactly was included in the final version.
