Graciously co-sponsored by Feeders Supply, the Shelter Dog Toy Drive ran from July 1st – 31st.
Monetary and Kong Toy donations were made at Feeders Supply stores to assist area shelters and foster groups (see list below). Toys such as these help to combat kennel anxiety and encourage socialization with dogs waiting to be adopted. These organizations are near or even over capacity with pets and these toys will defray the cost of just one high value item. Resources such as money, supply drives, and volunteers are in constant need. The people who care for the homeless companion dogs in this area need our support, and the Shelter Dog Toy drive raised over $10,000 to buy Kong Toys... these in addition to the many, many purchased at the stores for donation.
