This page is dedicated to veterinarians
in the Louisville and Southern Indiana. We would like
to recognize individuals in the field of veterinary
medicince who have utilized their skills and influence
to educate the public about responsible pet care, animal
issues and who have donated their time to combate pet
overpopulation. These veterinarians have each make a
difference in their own special way.
Dr.
Carolyn Kaccocha
Dr. Kacocha has been a veterinarian for about three
years. However, she has already put in a lifetime of
volunteer work to help spay/neuter programs such as
Alley Cat Advocates and the Woodstock Animal Foundation.
She routinely volunteers for Alley Cat Advocates' Big
Fix days, often altering over 70 cats in one day or
refusing to leave until all of the cats have been altered.
This volunteer work is piled on top of her regular emergency
veterinary duties, creating a hectic, but productive
life for Dr. Kacocha. Because of her dedication to helping
all animals, Dr. Kacocha was the recipient of the second
place Animal Professional Award at the Pet Groups United
Furball 2003.
